  • Registered Social Worker, OCSWSSW #845624

Anastasia is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York University, and an additional certification in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy from the University of Toronto (OISE).

Anastasia has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through complex life challenges. She currently works in community mental health with children (10+), youth, and families, and has extensive experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, chronic pain, insomnia, substance use, divorce, day-to-day stress, and adjustment difficulties related to major life changes. Her experience guides a holistic, client-centred approach, designed to build on each person’s strengths while addressing their unique challenges. Anastasia provides counselling in person, virtually, and by phone, offering both brief and longer-term therapy.

Anastasia’s practice is rooted in showing up as her authentic self, while building relationships grounded in safety, trust, gentle curiosity and collaboration. Her approach emphasizes balance—acknowledging current realities with compassion while creating opportunities for meaningful change. She believes people are doing their best with what they have and supports her clients in developing strategies to cope, grow, and move forward, fostering self-acceptance and meaningful progress.

She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy-informed (DBT-informed), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Anastasia often views life as a puzzle and works collaboratively with clients to explore the pieces that feel impossible to place. She helps connect thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences to foster a more integrated sense of self, placing one piece of the puzzle at a time toward a more balanced and satisfying life.
