Kaya is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Toronto.
Kaya provides psychotherapy in a compassionate and non-judgemental setting and approaches her clients with support. She provides an empowering environment where clients can explore their experiences, challenge limiting beliefs, and re-author their personal narrative. She has a background working in a hospital, EFAP, and private-practice settings.
Kaya leans towards using a narrative therapy approach with clients, enjoying the ability to help them understand the stories they hold about themselves and the world, but incorporates elements from a variety of therapy models as needed, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, writing therapy, and more.
She provides individual therapy to adults 18+ and families for a diverse range of issues, including anxiety, depression, burnout, eating disorders, career/work stress, life transitions, divorce, infidelity, academic and school-related stress, body image, self-esteem, developing confidence, stress management, parenting issues, and more.
